What do we believe?
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God that shows us the way to a life with God in Jesus. The various writers of this unique library were lead by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is then our guide for what we believe and how we live. What does the Bible say?
We believe that God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - made us all. We all have a responsibility therefore to listen to Him – God is the Creator. When we go our own way and neglect the perfection of our maker we drift away from God's way. This is called "sin". We miss the target. We are not perfect, and therefore we cannot be with God. But He wants us to be with Him and has made sure that we can be saved. What does the Bible say?
We believe that God came to us as a man in Jezus. He allowed himself to be killed in a horrific manner - while he had done absolutely nothing wrong. He was without sin. But his death make it possible for us to escape sin and come to God. What does the Bible say?
We believe that Jezus not only died for our sins, but also that he rose from death. In this way he showed that he is truly Godwho lives for us and who judges all. In this way we also have the promise of new life, if we trust him with our life. What does the Bible say?
We believe that everyone who believes in Jesus can receive this salvation. We are saved by the gift of Jesus - this is called "grace". When we trust in faith, in the death and resurrection of Jezus, and let ourselves be buried and raised in water we are saved from sin through the blood of Jesus and brought into grace. God saves us through His might! We are completely washed clean! What does the Bible say?
We believe that the Holy Spirit lives in each believer in order to change us into people who please God. We become children of God, special for Him and belonging only to Him. This is called "holy". With the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives we can live as God intended and we become examples of God's grace to everyone around us. What does the Bible say?
